2009 ILL Forum

March 6, 2009 on 10:22 am | In General | No Comments

The 2009 VIVA ILL Forum will be held on July 17 at Sweet Briar College’s Florence Ellston Conference Center in Sweet Briar, Virginia. Once again, we’d like to thank Sweet Briar for hosting us in their lovely facility.

The agenda is still under development, but Sally Wiant (Washington & Lee Law Library) will give the keynote speech on Copyright, and Dan Wilson (University of Virginia Health Sciences Library) will present “Backup procedures: catastrophic event preparation.”

The ILL Subcommittee would appreciate suggestions for additional topics and volunteers to lead sessions. Some topics that have been proposed are:

Strategies for Cost Cutting
Working with Campus IT
Media Sharing
Ariel and Odyssey (technical problems/solutions)
Justifying ILL

If you would like to volunteer to speak on any of these topics, have an idea for another presentation you’d like to give, or have topics in mind for discussion (even if you don’t want to lead), please let us know.

Registration and accommodation information will be posted shortly.
