Fenwick CLOSED May 30
Mason’s Physical Plan has announced air conditioning shutdowns affecting many campus buildings on the Fairfax Campus this weekend, beginning Saturday, May 30 at 6:00 am and ending on Sunday, May 31 at 6:00 am. Because of the air conditioning shutdown on Saturday, Fenwick Library will be CLOSED on May 30. Because of scheduled campus events, the Johnson Center building will be open. Johnson Center Library will maintain its regular Saturday hours, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Fenwick Library will re-open on Sunday, May 31 for regular hours (9:00 am – 11:00 pm). Networking will be down from 9:00 am – 10:00 am on Sunday in both Fenwick and Johnson Center Libraries.

Kudos to Cynthia Bentley (Circulation & Reserves Coordinator, Johnson Center Library), Wendy Lim (Acquisitions & Gifts Workflow Coordinator, Fenwick Library) and Michael Perini (Circulation Supervisor, Arlington Campus Library) — recipients of the University’s Exceptional Support Award! This award is designed to recognize “those employees who are the ‘worker bees’ of the University, i.e. those upon whom departments rely for the smooth running of daily departmental functions and operations. These employees demonstrate exceptional customer service, initiative, enthusiasm, commitment and energy.” Cynthia, Wendy and Michael will be recognized at the award ceremony on May 7th at 9:00 a.m., in Dewberry Hall North, Johnson Center.
